This year, Gene Chaiken '62 and his wife Roz established one of the first Trustee Scholarships to earn a 10 percent annual match from the University with a gift of $2 million. Over the last five years, the Chaikens' charitable donations have supported scholarships that have benefitted approximately 150 liberal arts students.

Most recently, through the Trustee Match Scholarship Program, the Chaikens' $2 million gift will allow even more students to benefit from a Penn State education. These generous benefactors hope that, through their leadership gift, students will be encouraged to "stay in school and strive to be future leaders in their profession and their communities."
