Founder's Dinner 2012 honoring Ron Gorodesky '79 and Steve Witten '78 was held Thursday, May 17 at Philly Parx Casino and Race Track in Bensalem, PA.

Once again, Michael Jaffe '79, Food and Beverage Manager at Parx, made the event easy for Licht '81 and Minkoff '81 to chair. The festivities were enjoyed by all 90+ brothers that attended the event.

The night kicked off in a private bar area for our brothers complete with a top shelf open bar and appetizers galore. The conversations flowing pushed back dinner and ceremonies 30+ minutes. The gathering featured brothers from the '60s through current undergraduates. The camaraderie enjoyed and stories embellished were priceless.

"I am late in asking you to convey to everyone how terrific the Founders Dinner was" said Founder's Award recipient Ron Gorodesky. "Other than Shlock fear, I was completely thrilled and humbled by the evening. How did you guys pull off such a strong showing, especially amongst the younger guys? Thanks to everyone for putting on a great show."

David A. Lee Award Winner, Steve Witten said, "I was truly honored to receive the David A. Lee Award especially since I had the opportunity to live with him when I was in the House. I felt the love tonight even if it was at my expense. I can't tell you how important the House has been to me over the last 5 years. It was the only thing that kept me sane over the last 4 plus years and I got to share memories with my son while he went through the House. It also gave me the opportunity to reconnect with guys I lived with in the House and has helped forge some new friendships. I am especially proud of what Ron and I were able to accomplish and wouldn't have wanted to do it with any other guy but Ron. He has become a really good friend. "

There were many other highlights of the night besides the ruthless roasts of Gorodesky by Little Gorodesky and Sheckman and of Witten by Jaffe and Milgram to include but not be limited to a reunion of Schlockmeisters representing over thirty years of service, six father and son combinations and over a dozen Big Brother-Little Brother reconnections.

Next year's event will once again be on a Thursday night, either May 16 or 23, reflecting our short window of opportunity after graduation and before Memorial Day.
