As the spring 2010 semester comes to an end and finals week approaches, the brothers of Beta Sig are enjoying the warm weather that is scarce during the school year in State College. Daily activities include cookouts, games of beach volleyball, football, and playing fetch with our house dog, Jake.

A few weeks ago we completed the 5th Annual "We Are...Curing Autism Now" 5k Race/ 3k Walk. With a strong and commendable effort from the undergrads, alumni, parents, the community, and the leadership of our CAN chairmen, we raised an approximate $96,000! Later that evening, the undergrads and their families joined together on the front lawn of Beta Sig for a spectacular evening, beginning with a cocktail hour followed by a catered dinner by Chef Bobby Scott.

Between the fall and spring semesters this year, we have acquired 23 fantastic young men who all show promise as future leaders of Beta Sig. These young men exemplify all of the qualities and values that a true Beta Sig treasures. The fall pledge class welcomed three Beta Sig legacies, including Jordan Grossman '13, Adam Jaffe '13, and Jeff Marks '13. We are proud to welcome all of these young men into our brotherhood.

We are currently enjoying the festivities of Greek Week which include competitive events such as a chariot race, flag football, dodge ball and a Greek pageant. Greek Week will be capped off with the ever-so-popular Blue/White Penn State Football game.

Beta Sig looks better than ever and we are getting stronger too. We, the undergraduate brothers, would like to thank the alumni for all their support and we look forward to this summer's capital improvement projects.

My experience as chancellor has been an amazing and rewarding one. I have learned countless valuable lessons to carry with me throughout my life, and also formed many strong bonds with alumni and other students here at Penn State.

So, as yet another year comes to an end, we will conclude with our spring formal and senior dinner. To our seniors; we sincerely wish you all the best of luck with your future endeavors, and we hope you come back to visit us frequently!

Fraternally,

Eric Berman '12
