John Urschel, a fifth-year senior offensive guard for Penn State, has been nominated for Sports Illustrated's 2013 Sportsman of the Year.  Urschel started every game in the 2012 season and was named first team all-conference, and this year his success on the field has continued.  But his hard work is seen off the field as well.  Urschel has already recieved his bachelor's and master's degrees in Mathematics, and is now working towards another master's, this one in Math Education, while he teaches calculus to undergraduates.  Both on and off the field, Urschel's hard word and dedication is apparent and truly embodies Penn State's ideals.
