Mas Tequila rocked the roof off 34 East in Ambler, Pa., on the night of Saturday, Jan. 18. The band, led by drummer and fellow Beta Sig, Stu Leon ’83, played almost three hours with a set list featuring Springsteen, Petty, Neil Young and assorted ’80s dance rock.

 

Classes across the '80s were well represented with Moss Walden ’83, Mark Halsman ’83, Dave Gold ’85, Rich Gorodesky ’82, Ken Lehrer ’83, Keith Reiner ’83, Michael Gaier ’84, Jeff Licht ’81 and Rich Scheinoff ’81. Scheinoff celebrated his 54th birthday situated in a front-row table with bottomless courtesy imported beers. Scores of other Penn Staters and wannabes packed the house, delighting in "Sweet Caroline" amongst many other fan favorites. Only Steve Savran '79, refused to show when Leon nixed playing any Christopher Cross and Barbara Streisand. The next big performance for the band will be headlining Beta Sig's Parents' Weekend, April 4-6, with the performance scheduled for Saturday night. This will prove a night to remember so be there or be a weak, worthless, insignificant piece of …
